I'm back!

I'm pleased to be home, it was beginning to get to me in hospital, not the hospitals fault but mine, as I was feeling better, my priority became getting out of there. It's amazing how quickly you become institutionalised though, I was looking for my cup of tea at 6.30 this morning! One problem was the lack of sleep, thanks to my central position on the ward, as arranged by my husband, so last night it was great to have a quiet nights sleep.

Today I have just been chilling and resting, had a nap and watching telly while Frank has been sorting out the router, hence the lateness of this update. I hope you agree that he did a great job in keepingg the Blog updated. I've just read through it and it certainly has helped me to remember what happened! That morphine is good gear, the first few days are a bit of a blur.

Several people have asked about visiting, if you want to come round, give us a ring so we can tidy up, I can look half decent and we have enough chairs. If I'm not up to it at the time, I'm sure in a few more days I will be less tired.

Thank you for al the lovely cards you have sent, believe me getting the post is one of the highlights in hospital! Also the texts and messages on the Blog, Frank was relaying them to me.

That' all for now, this is as much brain power as I've used in a whole week, I need a rest now!

Sheila xx

Good to hear you are home & feeling better. Do need to come up there with a cricket bat & smack him round a bit or is he pulling his weight now? I am sure he is. He has done a good job of keeping us informed. You have a good man there, of course I had him before you but we didn't have video cameras in those days so you'll have to take my word for it. Talk to you soon.

Where the hell does this thing get it's time from? (Has mainland time lapsed behind Island time?) I did not leave that last message at 7.59am. It's now 4.00pm I am just finishing work.

Great to hear you are recovering well (after a few initial probs) and relaxing at home. Hope Frank has duly tidied home up, having been caught out. He definitely needs keeping an eye on, especially if he drinks whiskey at the rate he drinks wine!

Just need you to keep things on a level for a while, no more surprises - you know, boring stuff. Challenging I know, but you can do it. Otherwise I'll have to put my TA medical training to good use (what was that, you're feeling way better).

Keep up the good work, both of you. In my thoughts.

Jan (Cripps)

PS Sorry to hear about Frank's mum, good to hear she is also recovering well, please give her my love.

No more shocks please, my wine intake is just levelling out.
