Where did that month go!

What can I say, I can only apologise about my tardy updating of the Blog. Well the news is positive again from the Marsden, my latest scan is again showing a reduction in tumour sizes since the last one in March. It's still not enough to take it out of the "stable" category but it is reducing. I won't bore you with exact measurements, they are not always precise as the Radiologists doing the review vary but as long as they compare both scans their measurements will at least be consistent. Make sense?

Besides that I have had the initial course of B12 injections and these are now scheduled for every three months. I also got the 2 units of blood in Bristol after they had a bit of a pow-wow about it. This means my bloods on Monday showed an improvement in my hb count to 10! First time in double figures for a long time. As a result I am less fatigued, which is good. Still doing my physio exercises but the leg is a bit duff to be honest, see below. I have good days and bad days pain wise, there is no second guessing. This morning I have made an appointment at Frenchay for the Pain Management clinic (July 22nd), see if they have any ideas to help. Best to try everyone and everything is my policy.

Frank's party was a great success, it took me two days to get over it and about 4 days to get the house back in order. We were eating leftovers for a week and still have loads of booze because we had a couple of barrels on the night. As it was a nice day, most people stayed in the garden all night. Anyway as they say, never again! I don't think I could repeat it when I'm 60 or Frank for that matter!

We've been to Vinopolis in London with the Wine Club, Wales for Jayne's 50th Birthday party and our first experience of Karaoke. What a larf, and no I didn't get on the stage! Far to frightening, they were too good! Spent a few days in the Brecons afterwards. Just returned from a couple of days in Brighton. I managed to cycle along the Prom, but as I have a man's style bike, Frank had to help me "cock" my leg over the bar to get on and off. We couldn't stop laughing really, god knows what people made of it.

That's all I can remember for now, it's been a bit busy. Off to pub for lunch:-)

Speak soon
Sheila

PS Next Marsden trip 9th June
